Grand Blanc Wildlife Trapper Tip of the Month:
Bat Extermination Tips
Bats can be very annoying if they make a permanent resident in your apartment. There are many health risks associated with the presence of bat, especially bat droppings, which are the root cause of these diseases. The fungus is common due to bat droppings, and this fungus can give you lung infection. Persons having a weak immune system are at significant risk of being infected from bat droppings. Currently, a newly invented Noval coronavirus (COVID-19) is also associated with bats (scientists are still working to confirm this). Therefore here are a few lethal ways to kill the bats.
Using Poison
Using poison against bats should not be your first choice to deal with bats. If a bat is killed by poison, it will most probably die in the attic or roof that can cause an odor problem. Bats are protected species, and killing bats by poison can cause a legal problem, and you will be fined for doing this.
Knives and garden tools
Some people kill bats by throwing knives; this method needs experience and skill. You have to quickly throw it, but if a bat gets scared, he may bite you, therefore use leather gloves. This method can be dangerous.
Glue boards and traps
Glue board traps can work very little time against bats; once a bat lands on a glue board, it will not fly again. He will get stuck into the glue, and it will take a long time to die. Trapping a bat is difficult. There are no reliable traps in the market to trap the bats.
